Activate your free play account:

• Sign up and get access to our unique server, where our two communities (WWIIONLINE.COM and STEAM) are playing together!
  
• Instantly get a premium 15-days trial to try out everything WWII Online has to offer.
  
• After the trial, you will be automatically converted to a perpetual Free Play account.
  
• You will be able to upgrade your account any time to unlock more units and features.

We are a 100% player-funded indie project: you can play for free with basic infantries and equipment, but a subscription will unlock more units and will allow us to release more- and faster upgrades! (click to see our current roadmap)

Please study our latest GAME MANUAL and try to join a squad before writing an evaluation.

Pricing model

FREE-TO-PLAY

FREE version grants you access to the basic riflemen (infantry and paratrooper), reserve SMG (infantry and paratrooper), light tanks (Panzer II C, Panzer III F, R35, H39, Vickers, A-13), light AA guns (Flak30, Hotchkiss 25mm), light AT guns (Pak36, FR/US 25mm, 2 Pounder), trucks, haulers and ships. You can capture facilities and deploy player-placed objects, including mobile spawns. Rank Attainment is limited to 2nd Lieutenant (Rank 9).

The game, however, has always been and remains a subscription-based game. This helps for operating costs like our game servers, bandwidth, power, staff, etc. and thus keep our single map up 24/7/365.

There are NO microtransactions nor advertisements in-game. Your rank only will unlock heavier equipment.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

The PREMIUM subscription unlocks access to all of our 200+ weapons, within the restriction of your current in-game rank and the ongoing technological Tier (193x-1945).

You can freeze your subscription and keep free play access, without losing your game name or rank.

WWII Online is the first ever massively multiplayer FPS simulation game that immerses players in the Western Front of WWII. Hosted on a massive single game server, there are virtually no limits to the number of players who can join the battlefield and fight as infantry, tanker, pilot, or captain.

BEWARE: WWII Online is a simulator classified as a serious game with a mature community. It requires players to collaborate and engage with others to create action and achieve objectives. Solo play is nearly impossible, and players are encouraged to spend at least 10 hours practicing, partnering with experienced players or joining an active squad. Mastering vehicle combat requires additional practice. Ideally, game sessions should last more than 1 hour as player-led operations require time and patience. Assistance can be sought through in-game chat and our Discord community.

HIGHLY DETAILED DAMAGE MODELS

Our damage models provide extreme detail, allowing for the destruction of individual components in vehicles, including crew, weapon storage, and gas tanks. This is not a mere hitbox system. Every shot fired triggers multiple calculations that determine the consequences of the round impact, such as angle of obliquity, round speed, armor thickness, internal spall, armor penetration, and damaged tank parts. A well-placed shot can instantly eliminate or disable your enemy.

FAIR GAMEPLAY FOR ALL

Victory in engagements is determined by strategy, tactics, teamwork, and weapon handling skills, just like in real life. WWII Online ensures a level playing field without special power-ups or advantages gained through item purchases, fostering a balanced and competitive environment.

SQUAD-DRIVEN GAME

WWII Online requires time investment and emphasizes teamwork. To make the most of your gameplay experience, it is highly recommended to join a squad and utilize voice communications. Each time you log in, you will receive a pop-up window showing currently available squad recruiters. For optimal coordination, join the WWII Online Discord Server. Integrated voice comms are currently in development.

CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT WITH FREE UPDATES

Since 2001, thousands of man-hours have been invested in continuous development. Every 3-4 months, a new update (patch) with fresh content is released. Check out the current development roadmap on Trello for more details.
